In the 2nd round of the Champions League, ETO played in Brest in the westernmost part of France. The team gained the points in a fierce fight against the French keeping the match in control the whole time.

According to the information given by the EHF, a change has occured in the date of the ETO - Midtjylland match in Denmark.

The parings for the Champions League, season 2017/2018, are going to be drawn on June 30, 2017 in Ljubljana, let's see the pots.

The top event, TIPPMIX EHF FINAL4, of women’s handball in the season of 2016/2017 has come, in which Vardar was selected to be the opponent of ETO. Even the first half had a tense atmosphere, it was a battle-like match, fans could witness beautiful defenses and attacks.
The second half was tighter, it was exciting until the last minute, then finally the two teams played a draw – 26-26 – at the end of the original play time, overtime came.
ETO won the battle of the nerves, the final result was 31-30.
ETO is the champion.
 

The long awaited TIPPMIX EHF FINAL4 weekend has finally come, ETO played against Buducnost in the semi-final in the Papp László Budapest Sportaréna. As it had been previously expected, there was a tough fight on the court even in the first half which ended with a 3-goal lead for Győr. Grimsbö performed breathtaking saves, Görbicz continued in the second half what she finished in the first. The girls were fighting like a team and qualified to the final.
Result: 20-26
 

ETO travelled to France to play the first match of the semi-final against Metz Handball. We can say that it was fierce match seeing the results of the first and second half. The hope of victory returned in the end of the game but finally the home team could take the two points.

According to the official information from EHF the dates of the CL quarter finals have been announced in which the top 8 teams are going to play matches and return matches. ETO’s opponent is the French Metz Handball. The first match will be on 09/04/2017, the return match will be on 15/04/2017.

ETO traveled to Norway to play the last match of the semi-final with Larvik HK. The match didn’t affect the advancement to the next round, however, it was important for both teams to win. ETO made many mistakes and their play was unbalanced, but they could win finally. Result: 25-26.

In the last round of the Champions League, ETO had a return match against Rostov. After a difficult start, ETO had got energized by the end of the game. In the second half, ETO was playing an energetic game and advanced to the master rounds.

ETO traveled to Ikast, Denmark to play the return match against Midtjylland in the 5th round of the group matches in the Champions League. The home team took the lead with their first attack and they didn’t lose hold of it. ETO got defeated for the first time in this season, however, the victory was not significant in terms of advancing to the next round since they are still on top of the scoring table.
