ETO has started the Hungarian Championship with a confident victory against Debrecen on home court on September 2. They won by a 20-goal difference, which gave motivation to the team for the season.

The countdown has started, as Győr is going to play against Debrecen at the first Hungarian Championship match on Saturday. We talked about the experience of the previous years, the preparation and new goals with the head coach of the team, Ambros Martin.
Before the beginning of the new season, ETO held its traditional season opening ceremony in the downtown of Győr. The new members of the team got officially introduced to the fans, after setting the goals of the new season fans could take photos and get autographs from the players.
Anja Althaus is a very experienced pivot who is going to strengthen the team from now on. The World Champion Bronze medalist has been selected to be in the national team nearly 250 times, however she has also been successful at club level. She is a multiple time German, Danish and Macedonian champion, moreover, she could take the trophy of Champions League in 2009 and 2010 with the Danish Viborg. She was planning her post handball career in May 2017 when she couldn’t say no to the offer of ETO.

Stine Oftedal’s dream has finally come true when she started playing in ETO from the end of summer of 2017. She says, the green-white uniform is a guarantee for the best team, she got to like the city easily and everything is given for the best performance. It’s up to her what she gets out of herself.
ETO completed an unusual mission before the team building program usually organized before the season. The team participated in a military training in the base of the 12th Arrabona Air Defense Artillery Regiment of the Hungarian Defense Forces so that they can prove that they are capable of anything together.
The most important team of ETO has 20 members in season 2017/2018, 5 young talents from the youth teams got into the team beside the 4 newly contracted players. The fast winger caught Ambros Martin’s attention at a national match in her age group and now she works with the supervision of the Spanish trainer.
The training match in the home of Siofok KC has been changed, the match is going to start at 18:30 instead of 18:00 on August 22.
