The new season will soon start with the championship match against Kisvárda. The training has come to an end, the girls have 5 victories and 1 defeat. We interviewed the head coach about the work so far and the plans ahead.

We asked the new president of the ETO, dr Bartha Csaba about the new season, the one-month experience at the club and the plans. We learned about what are the most important questions that ETO is dealing with besides the successful performance of the team.

We are providing further discounts in our ETO shop in the inner town and in the Aréna. Some products of the last season can be purchased at half price or with discounts.

The last chance to renew your season tickets for the season 2016/17 is on 26 August, Friday. From August 29, anybody can purchase new season tickets for the free places.

Norway received the bronze medal at the Olympic Games in Rio, so ETO can welcome Olympic medal takers in Győr. The Dream Team was also announced after the games, for which two ETO players were selected and the top scorer can also be celebrated in Győr.

Ambros Martin’s youngest player, the 16-year-old Lakatos Rita, received her hometown’s, Dunaszerdahely, award as an honor of her outstanding performance.

Ambros Martin’s 6 players are members of two national teams at the Olympics. Nycke Groot and Yvette Broch from the Netherlands and the Norwegian Heidi Löke, Kari Grimbsö and the novice in ETO, Nora Mörk have advanced to the quarter final.

Those ETO players who are not taking part in the Olympics or the national team training camp are taking the training program seriously together with the junior players. After the morning running training we had a talk with Danyi Gábor, coach.

Tomori’s knee got injured at the first training of ETO so she had to finish it earlier than planned. The situation is more serious than it was thought for the first time, the player was sent on a one-week of, who, therefore, will surely not be at the training camp of the national team.

As always, ETO started the preparation for the new season with an open training. The visitors could see an incomplete team in the Arena, since the foreign players will join the team after the Olympics, at the end of August.
