Following the announcement of Yvette Broch in August 2018 to suspend his active handball career, the team of Győri Audi ETO KC was in a difficult situation because they were forced to kick off the 2018/2019 season with one line player, Kari Brattset.  The club immediately got to work and moved everything to achieve their goals with a highly qualified, primarily Hungarian player on this post. However, after the failure of this mission, the club looked around on the international market for solution and decided finally on signing a contract with the player of romanian national team and Paris 92, Crina Pintea.

The world-famous sport equipment manufacturer company, adidas and our team, Győri Audi ETO KC have a long and successful common history, so they decided to prolong their agreement in August 2017 without question and they continue to fight for the highest goals with a common force in the future as well.

Complying with the television broadcast scedule of M4 Sport, our team is going to play in the 10th round of Hungarian League against FTC Rail Cargo Hungaria on 2nd of January 2019 (Wednesday) at 7 pm.

According to the valid rules of the Hungarian Cup, the teams of Győri Audi ETO KC and FTC Rail Cargo Hungaria will step on court even in the quater-final phase of the tournament. The draw event took place in Budapest, organized by the Hungarian Handball Federation, where the match pairings for the 5th round have been drawn. The team of Gábor Danyi will face Mosonmagyaróvári KC SE on 13th February 2019 (Wednesday) at 17:30 in Audi Aréna Győr.

It was the last game of 2018 where our team stepped on court – at the same time it was the last game of the Champions League group phase, where we were playing against the croatian HC Podravka Vegeta. According to the prior expectations, the girls from Győr were playing convincing and gained 20 goals victory at the end (37-17), and they keep on going forward with the maximal 8 points into the main round.

Our team has faced Ljubljana in the previous round of the Champions League’s group phase and ended the game not just with a victory but Kari Brattset has thrown a beautiful goal during the match as well.

Team of Győri Audi ETO KC reached a 6-goals victory against HC Podravka Vegeta, so they are leading with 4 points group C in the WOMEN’S EHF Champions League. Besides winning this game, there is an individual honorable mention regarding our team, because one of the saves of Amandine Leynaud has been chosen to the TOP5 saves of the second round.

Just after the 2018/2019 season start, the leadership of Győri Audi ETO KC has already begun with the players whose contract will run out at the end of the season, with long-term goals ahead. Firts of all, the club has agreed with one of its experienced key player, who has already been strengthening the green and white team for a decade, the brazilian left back player, Eduarda Amorim. The parties have signed the prolongation of her contract with two years.

The playmaker of Győri Audi ETO KC, Stine Oftedal celebrates her birthday on 25th of September - we wish her happy birthday and sport successes!

Gábor Danyi’s team visited Dunaújváros in the fourth round of the Hungarian League, where they used to play tough matches according to the traditions of the fights between these two parties. Finally, after a big neck-and-neck fight the girls in green and white succeeded in winning the match by 4 goals and gained another two points.
