The management of Győri ETO Kft., which operates the Győri Audi ETO KC woman handball team, has agreed with the danish coach, Ulrik Kirkely for the club's vacant headcoach position from the summer 2023. In addition to the arrival of the excellent trainer, it has also become certain that the brazilian Bruna de Paula, who can be used in all middle positions, will also join the squad from the summer of 2023.
Péter Endrődi, managing director of Győri ETO Kft., negotiated with several possible candidates for the vacant headcoach position of of Győri Audi ETO. After a series of negotiations with the narrow elite of the top coaches, it was decided that the current coach of the danish champion Odense, Ulrik Kirkely will take over the lead of the green-whites in July 2023.
“After it became clear that we will have to start the next season with a new headcoach, we started negotiations with potential candidates for the position. At the end of the procedure, which included written, online and personal meetings, we decided that the danish Ulrik Kirkely will lead the Győr Audi ETO KC team from the summer of 2023. I am very happy that we have reached an agreement, and I know that a dedicated, success-hungry and motivated coach will take over the leadership of the team from next summer. Based on his professional and human qualities, we got know him as a great trainer and person, who has already gained serious experience at the national team and club level during his coaching career. We signed a 2+1 year contract, and I am confident that we will achieve all our goals together." - stated managing director Péter Endrődi.

Leadong the team which has doninated the last decade in woman club handball is a big challenge, but I would not have acceptwd the task if I did not believe that we could be successful together. The traditions and the present of this club are full of high expectations, and the same is true for the future. I'm really looking forward to working together from the summer, but until then I'm concentrating on my current task in Odense. - stated Ulrik Kirkely.
The Danish trainer who will join the ETO family in the summer of 2023 is considered as an experienced trainer. He also coached the women's national team of Japan and the men's team of Saudi Arabia. He was the second coach of the Danish women's handball team alongside Jan Pytlick. At the club level, he won the Danish championship with the Odense team. He is 50 years old, married, father of two children.
An another player for the 2023/24 season has also been confirmed. Our club has reached an agreement with the Brazilian national team player Bruna de Paula, who will change the blue-yellow outfit of Metz to a green-white jersey next summer. The lightning-quick player, who can be used in all middle positions will be a significant strenght to next year's squad.
“Bruna is a wonderful player, with exceptional speed, and she is also technically highly skilled. We were able to experience her outstanding abilities in September at Gyor. In the recent years, her play has developed spectacularly, and we thought that she fits well into the Győr team of the future. I am happy to announce that we have signed a 2+1 year contract with the player, who will join our team from the summer." said Péter Endrődi.

The Brazilian player is 27 years old, currently plays for the French Metz, previously played for Nantes and Fleury. French champion, she collected gold medals at the Pan-American and South American championships with the Brazilian national team. She scored 141 goals in 48 matches for the national team. In this year's Champions League competition, she scored 55 goals in 9 rounds, 4 of this she scored against our club at Győr.
In the following period, the management of Győri ETO Kft. will continue negotiations on the player squad for the 2023/24 season in consultation with the new headcoach.
