Győri Audi ETO KC will strengthen its squad with a skilled goalkeeper, as the Danish national team goalkeeper from Brest Bretagne Handball will move to Győr from this summer. The goalkeeper, a recent World Championship bronze medallist with the Danish national team, has signed a two-year contract with our club.
Another position has been filled in the 2022/23 squad of Győri Audi ETO KC, as our club has declared its desire to sign a goalkeeper to replace Amandine Leynaud, who announced her retirement at the end of the season. The club's management sees the employment of three goalkeepers in the coming season as a complete solution to the challenges of the season. Danish national team goalkeeper Sandra Toft - exercising her contract option - has initiated the termination of her contract with French team Brest Bretagne at the end of this season, and she will join Győri Audi ETO KC from the summer of 2022.

Our club remains committed to the three-goalkeeper line-up, which means that, just like this year, we will start the season with three top international goalkeepers, Sandra Toft, Laura Glauser and Silje Solberg. Sandra Toft has proven her skills in recent years at both club and national team level. I am proud that she will be playing handball in Győr for two years and will be part of our success-hungry team." said President Dr. Csaba Bartha.
"An old dream of mine is coming true with my transfer to Győr. I have met many times with Győri Audi ETO KC as opponents, but in these meetings it was usually a draw or ETO won. I was always impressed by the atmosphere that surrounded the club. A great team in a great hall in front of a great crowd. It's a club where they are uncompromising and constantly strive to achieve the highest goals. Of course I am looking forward to the summer, but until then I will strive to do my best at my club in Brest, and if fate brings me, against ETO!" - said Sandra Toft.
Sandra Toft is 32 years old and has played for Virum-Sorgenfri, Holstebro, Larvik, Esbjerg and Brest. She is the Danish, Norwegian and French champion and won the World Championship bronze medal with the Danish national team in December 2021. He was a member of the Danish national team that won the World Youth and European Junior Championships.
