The best of Győr's sporting scene was honoured at the "Athletes of the Year in Győr 2021" gala evening. In the traditional team sports category, Győri Audi ETO KC was chosen as the best team in the city.
The Győr Sports Stars' Memories Foundation and the Municipality of Győr have a long history of recognising the most successful athletes and managers of the city of Győr. In 2021, representatives of ten sports were honoured in six categories at a joint ceremony.
The award for the best sports team of the year 2021 was accepted on behalf of Győri Audi ETO KC by its President Dr. Csaba Bartha, who was the only representative of the club at the ceremony due to the epidemic situation.
"We can be justifiably proud of this recognition, as the sporting life of Győr has always been of a very high quality and diversity. We would like to congratulate all the award winners, athletes, coaches and trainers. I would also like to thank our supporters for standing by us in last year's difficult situation and for being there for us again this year. We will try to continue to do such a professional job both in the training of the adult team and the youth team, so that we can remain worthy of such a prestigious award", said Dr. Csaba Bartha, Club President.
This is the 24th time our club has won this prestigious award.
