Győri Audi ETO KC has agreed to extend the current contract with two players. In the case of our captain, Anne Mette Hansen, the parties mutually put in place the option for the 2022/23 season, while Dorottya Faluvégi signed a new two-year contract.
Negotiations on the framework for the 2022/23 season are still ongoing. This time, in two positions were agreed on contract extensions. Club captain Anne Mette Hansen signed a 2+1 year contract in the autumn of 2019, and now the player and the club have decided to take the option into effect with a joint intention for the 2022/23 season.
"Anne Mette Hansen is one of the core players in the current squad, who is playing for long time in Győr. She came to us as a young talent in the summer of 2017 and we have now sat down to negotiate as captain of the team. This fact shows the development she has undergone in our club. I am glad that none of us had any doubts about the continuation of the contract. She is an experienced player with a strong leadership sense who has become fully part of the ETO family! I am confident that we will achieve their goals together this year and next year!" said President Dr. Csaba Bartha.
"This is my fifth season in Győr and I am very happy to be here for next year. I found the place in Győri Audi ETO KC team where I would like to play handball. This is the best club in the world, we just need to focus on being successful, everything is presented for high-level work. I have learned and developed a lot in the years I spent here, and the city has become my real home. I'm proud to be captain of this team. Due to our intentions were the same with the club we agreed very quickly," Anne Mette Hansen said.
Dorottya Faluvégi arrived to Győr in the summer of 2019. The junior world champion and Hungarian national team player quickly stole the hearts of the fans in Győr with her uncompromising style and perseverance. Unfortunately, she has been hampered by a number of injuries in recent times, she has not always been available to the team, but the confidence is unbroken.
"Dorottya Faluvégi is a stable point for the Győri Audi ETO KC team. She's a young player with a lot of humility for the handball sport. With her great mentality and determination, she is a useful member of our club. She hasn't had any luck with injuries lately, but we believe the future is her. Her contract, which expires at the end of the season, has been extended for two years," the club's president said.

Anne Mette Hansen arrived to Győr in the summer of 2017 and since that she has taken on the green and white jersey 166 times and scored 495 goals. The twice CL winner, twice Hungarian champion and three-time Hungarian Cup winner scored 304 goals in 94 national league games and took the opponents' goal 158 times in 64 appearances in the Champions League. She has scored 33 times in eight Hungarian Cup matches.
Dorottya Faluvégi joined the Győri Audi ETO KC team in the 2019/2020 season. So far, she played a total of 79 matches for our club and scored 180 goals. She had 44 appearances in Hungarian league matches and scored 124 goals, and in CL she scored 49 times in 32 games. She has scored 7 goals in three Hungarian Cup meetings so far.
