The MTK Budapest team has announced via mail to the Hungarian Handball Federation and to our club, that they will not be able to play the match on January 12, 2022. The HHF has accepted the team's announcement, so the Wednesday match will not be played. The EHF has decided on a new date for the cancelled match against Sävehof, which will also affect our home meeting against Krim Ljubljana. We plan to play the home Champions League match against Metz on the originally announced date of 15 January 2022.
The MTK Budapest team will not be able to play the K&H Women's Handball League match on 12 January 2022 due to a wave of illness and other injuries. The club has sent a letter to the Hungarian Handball Federation and the management of Győri Audi ETO KC. According to the decision of the HHL Competition Committee, the match will not take place, and a decision on the further fate of the match is expected to be made in the first half of next week.
In our Champions League group, several teams were affected by the postponement of the 9th round due to a coronavirus infection. In addition to Sävehof vs Győri Audi ETO KC, RK Krim Mercator vs Vipers Kristiansand, among others, has also been postponed. According to the decision of the European Handball Federation, these two matches of the 9th round have been swapped with those of the 13th round. As a result, the match between Sävehof and Vipers was brought forward from Round 13 to Sunday 9 January.
Sävehof - Győri Audi ETO KC has therefore been moved to the 13th round, i.e. the match will be played in Sweden on 13 February. Due to this, the EHF has moved the home BL match against Krim Ljubljana, originally scheduled for 12 February 2022, to the previously announced official reserve matchday – 19 January 2022. The purchased tickets for the February date will of course be valid for the match on 19 January.
Our club has a Hungarian championship match at the home of Dunaújváros Kohász Kézilabda Akadémia on this day, so we have contacted DKKA and the Hungarian Handball Federation about playing the match at a later date. A decision on the date of this match will be made later.
