In the 11th round of the group phase of the DELO WOMEN'S EHF Champions League, The Győri Audi ETO KC played as a guest of Denmark's Odense Handbold. From the very first minute the lead alternated between the two teams in this high-paced goal-rich match.. Near the end of the match Lukacs and the team equated a five-goal deficit and scored a goal to maintain the long-running unbeaten series of the Green and Whites.
Gabor Danyi: "The Danes performed better today than we did. They played a really good handball. We couldn't find the rhythm of the game, Odense was much more dynamic today and they attacked easily, but we really missed the goalkeeping performance. We had opportunities, but we've made a lot of mistakes, and we're lucky to have this one point. However, the team and fighting spirit has shown itself today, as long as a team can fight in this way, that is a big advantage. We never give up, and we can really fight as a team. Our defense was able to come back in the second half when Nze Minko opened the wall. We made a lot of mistakes in attack, and we made bad decisions, which is not typical of us, but in this tough series, there could be a weaker performance. Despite we always try our best, we're in the middle of a very serious period and we can't be always brilliant."
