On 27th of June 2019 the official draw event of the DELO WOMEN'S EHF Champions League took place in Vienna, Erste Campus where our opponents in the group phase of the tournament has been drawn.
Our team, the 5 times Champions League-winner Győri Audi ETO KC has been waiting for the draw event from the first pot of the Champions League. As a result of the draw of the DELO WOMEN'S EHF Champions League 2019/2020 season the team of Gábor Danyi has been put into group D, and will face the slovenian RK Krim Mercator, IK Sävehof from Sweden and the winner team of the qualification tournament.
Group D will be fullfilled with one team which will be the winner of the qualification tournament between 6th and 8th of September - Rocasa Gran Canaria (ESP), DHK Banik Most (CZE), Kastamonu GSK (TUR) and ZORK Jagodina (SRB).
„I think we are in a so called "easier" group than the others, but it can have the positive and negative sides of course as well. We will follow the way we didi last season and we will focus on the next challenge we have to face in order to do the best of our job.”– said Gábor Danyi, head coach of Győri Audi ETO KC after the draw results.
