Győri Audi ETO KC has held the season closing celebration with the partners and sponsors of the club on 24th May 2018 in the Olympic Sportpark of Győr, where they recalled the most beautiful moments and sportsuccesses of the season and said goodbye to the leaving members of the team. Let’s meet in the 2018/2019 season!
Without being overdrawn about the successes of Győri Audi ETO KC in the 2017/2018 season, we can state without doubt that it has written itself irrevocably into the history of handball… The team in green and white had to face a lot of difficulties during the season, just to mention one because of the consecutive injuries but even so they were able to reach their goals on three fronts – Hungarian Cup, Hungarian League and Champions League – which has been set at the beginning of the season.
At the season ending venue, THE TEAM has got the well-deserved gold medals from the vice president of the Hungarian Handball Federation, Katalin Pálinger which they were fighting for a day before and finally gained it at the end of a crazy rush in front of their biggest rival. After that, from the sides of the main sponsors Zsolt Borkai – mayor of Győr – and Péter Lőre – communication director of Audi Hungaria Zrt. – held their speeches, said goodbye and thank you to the leaving head coach of Győri Audi ETO KC, Ambros Martín.
After that, the speech of dr. Bartha Csaba – president of Győri Audi ETO KC – came in which he talked about the fantastic team spirit, endurance and unity which could be experienced during the season’s hard work of the players. Furthermore, he gave a small present to the leaving players and staff colleagues on behalf of the club and thanked them their dedicated work, and of course wished them good luck for the future. Finally, Mr. Bartha gave 3-3 gold medals – which the team gained during the competitions of the seasn – to the main sponsors and to the president of the Győri ETO Handball Fan Club, and at the same time he said thank you for their support and cheering during the whole season.
