How can you relax with a baby while having so much pressure on you?
Honestly, I don’t know. I used to need to sleep during the day and night as well when I had 2-3 trainings a day. This is impossible when you are a mother with a baby. During the day, when I go home between two trainings, Boldizsár is the first, of course, I’m a mother, and a housewife, it’s impossible to sleep. I can sleep at night, however, mothers are programmed to wake up for their baby’s voice, so I can’t sleep like a log anymore. So, I have no idea how I can do it, I can only guess that it has something to do with Boldizsar, because if I am dead tired when I go home, he looks at me and I’m reborn again.
You seem to be in a good form. How is the training going for you?
I started the training in a good condition without injuries and everything went as we had planned. I jumped into work and trained really hard the whole time.
Do you have the same motivation as you had years ago?
Of course, nothing has changed in terms of this. I enjoy the trainings the same as anytime earlier, I might be a little more conscious. I enjoy the variety in the trainings. Holanek Zoltán, our coach dealing with regeneration, also takes part in the field trainings and we also go to the gym. Recently, Ambros organized a teambuilding afternoon at the lake in Ikrény, the atmosphere was really good there too while we were working. But besides the trainings, I was really looking forward to the start of the season which happened against Kisvárda, but we are even more excited about playing in front of our fans at home. It’s an extra motivation that our first opponent at home will be our biggest Hungarian rival.
Now that we have talked about the team, how do you see the preparation?
Because of the Olympics, the preparation period was a little bit incomplete. We started training with missing players, the youth players helped us in the training work. Our hearts were at the Olympics, on the one hand we were supporting the others, on the other hand we would have liked to be there and represent our country. Our Olympians joined us later and we cannot say that they were relaxed when they arrived. The whole team could only train for a few weeks. It can be seen on our play for sure, but we are working on being more organized and better.
So you think the team is ready.
Fortunately, we don’t have many new players so we didn’t have to play in new style. Only Nora Mörk’s and Puhlák Szidonia’s play must be integrated in ours. I can say on behalf of the whole team that we are going to do everything to take the cup. Everybody is very determined and we have a winner mentality. The new players are working with a great motivation since they came to ETO to win, so yeas we are ready, we want to win.
Good luck!
