Győr started the match against Bucharest nervously. The defense worked perfectly the whole time but the Romanians could find the wholes. Our attacks were focused but there were some mistakes due to precipitation. ETO could take the lead more times, and there were draws too, but in the last second Romania could take the lead with a 7-meter throw. The result was 13-12 at the beginning of the second half.
The two teams were running neck-and-neck during the whole second half. Győr could take the lead more times but couldn’t get far from Bucharest. The Romanian team equalized in the last second with a 7-meter throw. In the overtime, Győr started better and could lead by two goals for minutes, but by the 70th minute the Romanians could equalize again. Győr made three mistakes in 7-meter throws and ended up being the runner up this year.
