Toth Gabi, ETO player, has less than one month from her rehabilitation left. The young handball player had hard times dealing with doing nothing, but she is waiting for the comeback so much.
“I have never had to be away from the game so much, I’ve never been very ill either to skip trainings, so it is very hard to do nothing because of my injury. Now I can see the light at the end of the tunnel” – said Tóth Gabi who suffered full frontal ligament break in the beginning of last September.
“The first period was horrible, I had to lie and do nothing, this is not my world. Fortunately, my family and close friends helped me a lot and of course my team mates were also by my side. I have to add that in the beginning I didn’t even visit the trainings because I didn’t want to make my heart break. It was enough to watch the matches on TV id didn’t torture myself more. Of course as time went by, this feeling was less strong, and I also started the rehabilitation being totally aware of the goal and I devoted everything to it to recover the earliest possible and to play again” – she continued.
“ I still have more than one month left, but as the 5 months passed, this one remaining won’t be a problem. The most important is to be healthy. I don’t want to hurry anything, I’m going to apply for playing if I feel 100%.” – said Tóth Gabi , who has started to run, side runs and she can start the jumps carefully; besides these she goes to the gym and works out.
“I have also taken the ball, I can shoot to the goal and I’m very happy about this” – added the handball player who will consult with dr. Balogh Péter about the future.
“It seems that I can be in the team by the final four of the Hungarian Cup. It would be unbelievable to contribute to the success. It seems the team is getting more and more organized, and however there are very few players in the team, because obviously I’m not the only injured unfortunately, the other play from their hearts and I’m very proud of them.” – said Tóth Gabriell who added that it improved her condition that the club offered contract lengthening what she so she will play in ETO for the next three years.
“It gave me so much power. Now I’m hoping that I’m through all the bad things and I will never have such an injury and I’m also hoping to have a career rich in matches” – said the young talent who will celebrate her 20th birthday this September.
