At the beginning of the match, following a sleepy start, none of the teams could take the lead. ETO boosted up from the 10th minute, so our defense got stabilized and our attacks got faster and started scoring goals. Our advantage was gradually increasing, after the first half minute we took the lead by 5 goals.


In the second half, we were even more confident and could have an advantage of 10 goals against the Swedish. Kari was the first in the goal and could save the attempts of the opponent one by one making them unable to score for a long time. However, the girls got less concentrated when leading with 10 goals and they were playing inaccurately in attacks so the opponent could score 3 goals. Finally of course they could regain their advantage and win with 6 goals.


Henrik Signell, the coach of the opponent commented the match:”It was a tough match, this was what we had expected. In the past 2 years we started to build a new team, we have lost more experienced players and the younger team couldn’t keep their performance at 100% during the whole match. In order to defeat one of the best teams of the world we would have needed it. Congratulations to Győr on their victory, and the beautiful atmosphere we had here."


Elin Enhörning from Savehof: “This match was a fight, we are kind of content with our defense, but we couldn’t keep Győr away till the end, so we didn’t have a chance. We like coming here, because the atmosphere is fantastic even for us, the opponents.”

Nycke Groot was one of the most productive goal scorers with 6 goals: “I would also highlight our defense, we weren’t steady enough and made a lot of mistakes in the attacks too which gave opportunities to the opponent scoring easy goals. By the second half our defense had got organized and we could take the lead with 10 goals, but unfortunately we lost focus and let them score. The most important thing is that we have the two points and keep going”
