1st half:
The opponent was leading by 2 goals in the beginning of the match, but we could equalize shortly after that. The ETO took the lead and we could keep our advantage the whole time. By the end of the half our energy lowered so finally we could finish the first half with a 2-goal advantage. The match was a real fight, both teams had tough defenses but we could do it better. Nycke scored 4 goals, Yvett 3 Jana and Heidi 2 in the first half.


2nd half:
We could continue where we finished. Our defense worked effectively sometimes making the opponent do passive play. Kari saved the Romanian attempts in the goal. Our attack was characterized by speed, dynamism and smartness. We could get the ball many times and we scored many goals from immediate attacks and counter attacks. Duda performed excellently, she contributed to the team’s success with beautiful back shots. As a center back, Nycke scored the goals mainly but Misi could also try herself and could perform well. Jana helped a lot on the side and could score 5 times. All in all, we can see that our team was organized today. Congrats to you all!


Ambros Martin on the match: “We could see a hard match today, for which we needed maximum concentration. I think the key of the match was the defense which was supported by a good attack; however we made mistakes against Grubic. We could make the opponent make mistakes enabling us to score fast goals and it contributed to the final result so much. We took a big step forward today but we need many steps like this until the end of the season. I would like to dedicate our win today to our injured players and express my appreciation to my team for this unbelievable performance."


Jana Knedlikova performed great today: “We had an excellent defense today, we could getthe ball many times and score easy goals. If we happened to make a mistake Kari was a firm background behind us and it counted a lot. I’m happy that we could stay concentrated until the end, we need this in the future too.”


Kim Rasmussen, coach of Bucharest, on the match: “Győr played fantastic as always, congratulations to them. We performed a quite good defense in the first half, but our attacks failed and ETO could take advantage of this and score fast goals because of our slow attacks. We didn’t move enough with legs and we forced ourselves in 1-1 game which we couldn’t deal with. Obviously we missed our scorers. In the second half we improved our defense but our attack failures stayed and I expected our goalkeepers to save more than 4. We played under huge pressure today and as for me nowadays referees support the home team.”
