The girls started confidently against the Swedish opponent their attack was effective from the very first minute. The Swedish didn’t really find the way to the goal due to ETO girls’ incredible technique. Grimsbő did her best in the goal, so we only got six goals in the first half. Our attack was variable and the goals were nicely distributed from back-shots and both our pivots worked effectively. We launched great counter attacks so we could show a beautiful play in form of the opponent’s goal.
The second half started well, but sometimes we lost control and the Savehof took advantage of this. We had longer goalless periods due to ball losses, fast counterattacks and missed penalties, so we couldn’t make the best of our attacks. However, we were effective in defense being proven by the few goals we got.
Ambros Martin on the match: “It was a good Champions League match, the key of the encounter and victory was the defense. I could give the chance to the players returning from recovery, everybody could play and it is very important for us because the season is long and we have to hold on until the end. I was happy that Misi could play again and after this long break I was very content with her performance. Unfortunately, Bódi Bernadett couldn’t continue the game, we’re hoping that her injury is not so serious, according to the first diagnoses it isn’t but we can only tell more after further examinations”
