Handball clubs are undergoing player selection processes for next year, during which ETO has made a significant improvement for its right back post. The 24-year old Norwegian, two-time European champion right back, Nora Mørk has signed a 3-year contract with ETO starting from 2016 summer, to make her further ambitions come true.
“After seven years in Larvik, I think the time has come for change and to try something new” – said Nora Mørk. “As I got to know the club in the past few years, I think the community, the work they do and their aims are definitely for me and I’ll feel great there. I can also say that the ETO fans and the atmosphere of the home matches always attracted me and I thought it would be nice to be part of it one time. Of course, I have talked with my Norwegian team mates playing in ETO, Heidi Løke is closest to me. She is one of the reasons why I accepted Győr’s offer.” Nora added.
The right back was part of the European Championship winner Norwegian national team in 2010 and 2014, moreover she drew the attention of experts and fans alike with her personal performance as well: she was selected as the best right back of the All Star team in the FINAL 4 of the Champions League in 2015 and in 2014 at the European Championships.
“Nora belongs to a small elite group in women's handball, so we consider her contract to be a great achievement” – said Kelencsényi Ernő, president of ETO. “This is not only because of her outstanding talent, but her unique attitude, her mental strength and the ability to fight.”
The club's president is referring to her absence from matches for two years due to knee injury in 2011, after which she was able to perform at top level to become one of the best players in the world.
